Kell Shelties has been breeding and showing our beloved breed since 1974. In that time we have had the privilege of breeding and owning many AKC Champions and producing many performance titled Shelties.

Our commitment and perseverance stems from our love of the breed. We invite you to spend some time getting to know a few of our dogs and share in our vision.

We have young adults/older puppies available!

All of our breedings are carefully planned and are based on furthering our goal of producing healthy Shelties conforming as closely to the breed standard as possible. Our program is guided by three primary principles:

• Health
• Temperament
• Breed type

All companions are placed on a spay/neuter contract and on limited registration. A sample of our companion contract is available for download and viewing.

November 2013

Our only trip out in November we brought young Ch. Will daughter Whispering Gunpowder And Lead (Miranda) home with a 3 point major her 3rd weekend out! Seeing these Will kids doing so well makes our hearts happy!

October 2013

We're on a little bit of a hiatus, but we're going to some close local shows. Blue Heavens Heat Wave came home to grow a new coat needing a major to finish. Meanwhile Whipsering Dynstar Bi Maleia is  and is out picking up points and is up to 7 points and a major in limited shows.

August 2013

We're thrilled to annouce that, her first weekend out, "Summer" (Blue Heavens Heat Wave) picked up a major by going BOB/Group 1 over specials from the classes! Summer is currently out at shows with friend/handler Karen Munster and is well on her way to her championship in just a couple of weekends! Thanks to Lloyd Jr and Lisa Graser for sharing this super sweet, super sound girl with us here at Kell!

We're enjoying time with our family and our youngters growing up here at Kell. Congratulations to Carol Howell and Julie Desy on their new boy Kell Will.I.Am, by Ch. Okie's Kell Wild Wild West x Ch. Kell Lil Black Dress. Watch for this outstanding youngster at shows this summer.

ASSA 2013 has come and gone.

While we were not able to attend in full force due to school and work obligations, we are proud to report that Ch. Okie's Kell Wild Wild West now has TWO daughters who have been WB and Best of Winners at ASSA Nationals (2010's Ch. Kell Personality, owned and loved by Susan Christie, and now 2013 Paray Luminous, owned by Brenda Christiansen).

We sent a couple of youngsters for their second trips to a dog show, with Whispering Kell Perfect Crime winning third in his class and Kell Whispering Sharp Shooter making a cut in his competitive class.

Our girls Ch. Whipsering It's My Party and Ch. Kell Nursery Rhyme both made cuts in Breed in their first ASSA appearance.
